I am an Oregon native. Growing up in Portland I have embraced the culture of living a lifestyle that supports internal peace and well-being. I am licensed for massage therapy and on an ongoing path of continuing my education in body work. I am passionate about the work I do and I enjoy helping people through massage.
I started my massage journey at The University of Western States Chiropractic College, Massage Therapy Program. I studied there until I transferred to East West College of Healing Arts, Massage Therapy Program. When I began to study Anatomy, my love for the human body started to blossom. I gained a better perspective than I ever had before. Through the study of Kinesiology my passion continued to grow. I am very thankful for my education and experiences that have brought me to this point. I will never get tired of learning.
I enjoy my work because I love helping people. I look forward to the opportunity to help someone that lives in everyday pain, to show them that they don't have to continue on that path.
I have come to realize that in life, we all carry physical and emotional stress stored upon our body. This stress creates tension that gets in the way of our daily routines. We unconsciously compensate for that pain by utilizing other muscles and groups, thus developing compensation patterns to perform motions when strength and mobility are not sufficient. Compensation patterns will only work for so long before something breaks down.
Through massage therapy my goal is not only to decrease pain & stiffness, but also manipulate your body into a proper alignment. With self-care, and a better awareness of body mechanics, we can work together to get back to a pain free lifestyle.
